Enamel Pop-up Trunk Show The pop-up is part of Enamel’s mission to highlight both process and final product and to support emerging designers in the Midwest. The space, co-run by artists Angela Malchionno and Carly Hilfeaturing, will feature the work of ethical fashion label Production Mode from 4 to 8 p.m. March 28 at 3123 Morganford Road. Production Mode designer and St. Louis native, Jamie Hayes, will present her line of hand screen-printed leather goods developed artist and Paula Wilson, print designer for Production Mode and current Louis D. Beaumont Fellow at Washington University will present pyrographs on leather. Enamel also produces a curated mix of art, design and workshops.

Fairy Glam Prom Expo  Dresses collected since last year will be made available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., March 28 at St. Louis Outlet Mall in Hazelwood. Girls can listen to motivational speakers, get pampered by beauty professionals and enter for chances to win numerous door prizes. More than 300 dresses will be available. To qualify for a free dress, girls must fill out an application and submit a reference to confirm financial hardship. Application and qualification details are available at nspire2dream or by emailing fairyglamproject@yahoo.com. Anyone who wants to donate can drop off items in the green and white USAgain bins located throughout the area. Just bag your dresses, label the bag “PROM” with a permanent marker and drop them off.

Runway Lights Fashion Show  “Couture for a Cause” returns with an elegant New York-style runway show from Escada in conjunction with Neiman Marcus. Escada will spotlight its 2015 spring and cruise collection, highlighting its brand of cool glamour and sensual femininity. 10:30 a.m. April 18 at Union Station, 1820 Market Street.

Derek Lam 10 Crosby Presentation The brand's vice president of design, Elizabeth Giardina, will spend most of the day at Neiman Marcus to talk to customers about the brand and take part in a fashion presentation at 1 p.m. April 18 at the Plaza Frontenac store. Giardina earned her fine arts degree in sculpture from Washington University.

The Makers Ball Craft Alliance Center of Art + Design is hosting its annual gala to support education, exhibition and community programs at the institution reaching 60,000 people annually. The evening celebrating the artists, makers, fabricators will take place 6 to 11 p.m., April 18 at Palladium, 1400 Park Place. There will be dinner, dancing, silent auction and Maker's Mark Whisky tastings.

Merchandising at Proenza Schouler lecture  Kat Burrows, vice president of merchandising for Proenza Schouler's ready-to-wear collections, graduated from Washington University with a degree in fashion design in 2004. She began her career at Zac Posen, then started her own merchandising consulting firm and joined Proenza Schouler in 2011. Her talk, "Merchandising at Proenza Schouler from a Design Perspective," was rescheduled and will take place 4 p.m., April 27 in the auditorium at the Kemper Museum on campus. Free.

Baubles and Bling: Exploring Vintage Jewelry Maria Gianino, Legacy Appraisals, presents a Mind Fest class exploring a brief history of fashion and how it relates to jewelry. She’ll share how to identify quality vintage jewelry whether you’re at antique malls or sorting through your own jewelry box at home. You’ll learn what to look for to determine the difference between good, better and best. Bring one to three pieces of your own items for “show and tell” to discover their history, provenance and pedigree.

Celebrating Success Fashion Show This benefit for Life for Life Academy will start at noon, May 3 at the Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis. The show will include 22 students modeling their own designs in the school fifth annual showcase.
