In terms of Coachella party hierarchy, there's really no better invite than one from Jeremy Scott. The L.A.-based designer and Moschino creative director is known for throwing one of the best post-concert bash's in the land, with toga parties and debaucherous late nights that always attract music-world royalty. After three years partnering with Adidas on the legendary fete (Scott has a collection of furry winged footwear with the sportswear behemoth), the designer got his new bosses at Moschino to foot the bill for his annual throw down in the desert, which happened on Saturday night into Sunday's wee hours. And the results were quite amazing.

At the end of a cul-de-sac in the desert hamlet of Bermuda Dunes, Scott and Moschino took over a gated estate, got the Misshapes, Diplo and Skrillex to DJ and invited the likes of Katy Perry, supermodel Jourdan Dunn, Robert Pattinson, FKA Twigs, Fergie, Zoe Kravitz and Alexander Wang -- who all trickled in past a room full of Sprinkles cupcakes and bee-lined for the pool. Catering came courtesy of L.A. favorite Eveleigh (lamb meatballs, anyone?). And Scott himself, sporting a silver crown, joined his wildly-dressed cult-following crowd who brought out their big guns in vintage body-con Moschino dresses and suits, oversized animal-print jackets, the aforementioned furry winged Adidas footwear, Moschino jersies-as-dresses and cartoon-inspired '90s ensembles (Perry, who changed from a Nasty Gal dress earlier in the day, wore huge door-knocker hoops).

Whitey Houston mashups, Miley Cyrus, Spice Girls and old Destiny's Child radio hits made the poolside dance floor a very crowded place (a seemingly endless supply of DeLeon tequila could have contributed, too).

So what are Scott's secrets to throwing the best Coachella party ever?

"Good music, free drinks and the best dressed crowd," Scott told Pret-a-Reporter from his perch near the dance floor. "Beautiful boys, beautiful girls."

Scott helps curate his own guest list ("It’s hard not to for me. The people who really get into what I do are so passionate about it and they go full on,") which this year also included Vanessa Paradis/Johnny Depp spawn Lily-Rose, L.A. artist Rosson Crow, Jena Malone, Instagram sensation the Fat Jewish, half of Chromeo, Alexa Chung, model Daisy Lowe and singer Mayer Hawthorne, who we spotted earlier in the day hanging out at Soho House's Desert House.

The music, said the designer, is the real key to any good soiree.

"I mean no one you’ve ever probably heard about," Scott laughed as he rattled off the night's DJs. "Just this little guy Skillex."
